Join us for a rain garden planting party on Saturday, October 15 from 8am-noon where we will give some thirsty native plants a new home so that they can go to work filtering stormwater from the Grandville Middle School parking lot. Guests are welcome to help plant–gloves and trowels are encouraged (we should have extra)–or just come and observe and learn more about rain gardens and how they help keep stormwater out of Buck Creek. This is Phase ll of a green campus plan funded by Grandville Public Schools and Friends of Buck Creek. The garden, designed by Wesley Landon of Native Edge, LLC, will also serve as an environmental lab for students and a butterfly garden for the public. We hope you can join us!
