Join Grandville Community Tree Project, Friends of Buck Creek, City of Grandville, Grandville Public Schools, and DTE, for a nature-filled celebration the morning of Friday, April 26 at the site of Oakestown Intermediate School (formerly Grandville Middle School). Celebrate cleaner, cooler water for Buck Creek and a beautiful native plant garden, all compliments of a huge rain garden installed by Friends of Buck Creek, Grandville Public Schools, and Nativedge LLC. Learn about rain gardens and how they work. In addition, the winner of the “I Love Nature” poetry contest will be announced and their winning poem will be read. We hope you will join us!

The celebration will kick off with Friends of Buck Creek’s dedication of the rain garden on the north end of the parking lot near the tennis courts, followed by an Arbor Day celebration and the planting of 18 trees for an outdoor classroom, led by Grandville Community Tree Project.
